Every host runs on its own: local sign-in, local clusters, local firewall, local AI. A partitioned site keeps signing operators in and running workloads. When the link returns, it re-synchronizes automatically.
AI that never leaves the enclave
Animas, QBO's own reasoning and vision models, runs on mission hardware with no internet and no API keys. Nothing is sent to an outside provider. Animas-V reads live camera feeds; Animas-R reasons over the results on the same machine.

Atoms join into one fabric: the ORIGIN runs at the operations center, and forward sites, vehicles, vessels and field laptops join it as LINKs — each proving its hardware identity, with no ssh and no configuration files to distribute.
- Disconnected, intermittent operations
- Identity, DNS, the image registry, clusters, the firewall and AI are local to every host. A partitioned site keeps signing operators in and running workloads, then re-synchronizes.
- Edge AI for sensor and video feeds
- Animas-V runs live object detection on RTSP cameras, webcams and video files at the edge, with hardware encoding; Animas-R reasons over the results on the same machine.
- Air-gapped and classified networks
- No internet dependency at runtime: every image, dependency and model is local, so QBO deploys on isolated networks unchanged.
- Multi-enclave operation
- Identity issued by QBO and enforced locally on every host, so an enclave that loses its link keeps authenticating on its own. Hosts join over an encrypted, authenticated connection, with the boundary enforced at the packet level.
- Kubernetes the program already knows
- Kubernetes in its purest form: the official node images of kind, unmodified. kind is CNCF Certified Kubernetes. Standard kubectl and standard manifests.
- Zero-touch provisioning
- A host enrols by hardware fingerprint over an encrypted handshake. A credential copied to another machine is refused.
- RMF and continuous monitoring
- Read-only queries for policies, certificates, users and network state let SCAP, SIEM and RMF tools collect evidence with no agent on the system. Every AI action is logged for review.
- Security in the kernel
- The eBPF firewall drops packets at the network interface, deny by default, and keeps enforcing through a control-plane restart. Every workload has its own network namespace.
- Observability, no instrumentation
- Network, processes, files and resources observed from the kernel: no agents, SDKs or code changes in mission software, including software you cannot modify.
- Operator workstations
- GPU Linux and Windows desktops streamed to a browser, with no client software, VPN or jump host.
