Alex Diaz, CEO and Founder of QBO
Two decades in infrastructure, from Riverbed to Sysdig, Portworx, NGINX, Splunk and Cisco. One atom. The whole cloud.
Alex has spent two decades in infrastructure. He started as a network and sales engineer in Montreal and Ottawa, joined Riverbed Technology in 2007 for five years as an escalation engineer in San Francisco and then sales engineering in Paris, and moved into the cloud-native wave as it formed — a founding member of Sysdig’s EMEA office in London, then Portworx, NGINX (by then part of F5), Splunk, and Wallarm as VP of Security Solutions. He stayed through the Cisco acquisition as a Kubernetes solutions architect.
Alongside his engineering career he founded Semper Eadem, a real estate holding company in London and San Francisco. He holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from Concordia University.
Public clouds rent you parts and leave you to put them together. QBO is an AI cloud operating system, built as an atom — one complete system that holds the whole cloud. Install it on your servers and everything you need to build, run, secure and observe software is already there, operated by AI. The same binary runs on a laptop in the field and on a rack in a datacenter, and it keeps working with no internet connection at all.
One atom. The whole cloud.
